Our boat has crazing which covered the entire deck. The goal is to remove the crazing on it. Many Sabres of this generation have this issue. Below are several photos and a couple of videos.
Click on the photos to see in detail. If you shift/select these (PC), 2 finger select on Mac you can open at high res in a new tab to see a higher resolution image. If these images/videos don’t present enough detail, please let me know and I can post more.

Decision to Move Ahead
When we purchased the boat we had the repair in mind for sometime in the future. Now that we are spending our lives on the boat, it seems more important to fix the deck. We also wanted to change the name that was “PAINTED” on the the quarters on the boat.
It was time to clean up the bottom as well as it had not been painted since we purchased the boat.
After consultation with a variety of folks on refitting we decided to go with “Flat Island Boat Works” in Pensacola, FL. We had a number of conversations with the owner, Mike Bredesen. He provided me with a couple customer referrals which I researched. Both were happy with the work. One was a Sabre power boat with the same problem. They had the work done a couple years ago and the redecking has held up and they are still quite happy with the work Flat Island did.
The other factor was proximity. We could get the boat to the the refit center under her own keel via the Tenn-Tom waterway to the gulf coast.
